Can the lock be fitted on all doors?
BS locks are suitable for most doors (including composite, uPVC, and wooden) with a thickness between 44-70mm. The existing mechanical lock simply needs to be removed and replaced with the BS lock. Installation is straightforward using the provided instructions. The lock body must feature a lift-up handle mechanism. Consult your dealer if you are unsure about compatibility. -
What happens when the battery is completely dead?
The lock provides a low-battery warning. Replace all batteries promptly after this alert. If the batteries die completely, a backup power port on the underside of the external lock allows you to connect a mobile power bank for temporary power to unlock. Replace the internal batteries immediately afterward. -
How do I share an electronic key with visitors?
You can share temporary or permanent electronic keys to a visitor's email address via the app. The visitor must have downloaded the app and registered as a user. -
How do I upgrade the lock's software using the app?
When a new software version is available, you will receive an alert upon using the app to unlock. You can then agree to upgrade the lock's software via Bluetooth. -
Can this lock be opened remotely?
No. For enhanced security, the BS lock operates via Bluetooth and requires physical proximity to unlock. Remote control is not supported. -
Can I download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store?
Yes. The Blusafe app is available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play. -
How many administrators can be set up for the lock?
One. By default, this is the first user who scans the QR code to bind the lock. -
How do I add or remove key cards?
Cards can be added by pressing the setup button or via the App. Deletion, however, must be done through the App. -
What should I do if my card is not reading sensitively?
Ensure the card is placed directly on the card reading area (indicated by the logo). If it still fails to read, we recommend replacing the card. -
I lost my card. Can I use a generic card bought from the market?
No. The cards are encrypted. You must purchase specialized replacement cards from BS or an authorized BS dealer. -
How many key cards can be stored in one lock?
50 cards. -
Fingerprint verification is successful, but the door still won't open. Why?
If installed correctly, the door should open by pressing down the handle immediately after verification. If it still doesn't open, please contact your dealer or the manufacturer. -
Can I still use my fingerprint to open the lock if I have injured my finger?
A serious injury may prevent recognition. We recommend registering multiple fingerprints from different fingers during setup. -
Can the fingerprint imprint left on the sensor be copied to unlock the door?
No. The lock uses live biometric detection, making it impossible to unlock even with a copied fingerprint. -
How do I add or delete a fingerprint?
Fingerprints can be added by pressing the Settings button or via the App. However, they must be deleted through the App. -
What can I do if the fingerprint sensor sometimes fails to read or isn't sensitive?
Clean your finger and the fingerprint sensor. Ensure your finger is placed correctly on the sensor and try several times. When registering a fingerprint, try scanning it from different angles, or register multiple fingerprints from different fingers. -
Is the fingerprint sensor waterproof/fog-proof?
The BS lock has an IP65 waterproof rating, similar to commercially available mobile phones. However, to ensure optimal sensitivity, please keep your fingers and the fingerprint sensor dry when using it. -
