The motor doesn't turn and lock when I lift the handle. What should I do?
1. The selected square bolt might be too long. Refer to the installation guide and choose the correct size based on your door's thickness. 2. The internal mounting plate must be positioned using the provided installation jig before tightening the M5 screws. 3. The M5 screw holding the lock cylinder might be over-tightened. Loosen it half a turn with a screwdriver. -
What is the locking/unlocking trigger angle? What is the maximum opening angle?
The locking/unlocking trigger angle is 45°. The maximum opening angle is ≤ 59°. -
Can it be fitted on all doors?
BS locks are suitable for most doors on the market (including composite, uPVC, and wooden doors) with a thickness between 44mm and 70mm. Simply remove the original mechanical lock and replace it with the BS lock. Installation is straightforward and can be done yourself using the provided instructions. If you are unsure about compatibility, consult your dealer. -
What happens when the battery is completely dead?
The lock will give a low-battery warning; please replace all batteries as soon as possible. If the batteries are completely dead, there is a 9V battery emergency socket on the bottom of the external lock panel for temporary power to open the door. Replace the internal batteries immediately afterwards. -
How do I upgrade the lock's firmware using the app?
When a new firmware version is available, you will receive an alert when operating the lock via the app. If you agree to upgrade, you can update the lock's firmware via Bluetooth. -
Why can't I open the door with my IC card sometimes?
You need to touch the lock's wake-up area first before using the IC card to unlock. -
How do I transfer administrator privileges if I lose or change my phone?
Administrator permissions are tied to the user account. Logging into your administrator account on a new phone will automatically show the bound lock. If you need to clear the lock data from the old phone, you will need to manually clear the user data. -
How do I add or remove key cards?
Cards can be added by pressing the setup button or via the App. However, deletion must be done through the App. -
What should I do if my card is not sensitive (not reading)?
Place the card on the card reading area (where the logo is). If it still doesn't work, it is recommended to replace the card. -
Can I use a card bought from the general market if I lost my original one?
No. The lock uses encrypted cards. You must purchase special key cards from BS or an authorized BS dealer -
How many key cards can be stored in one lock?
50 cards. -
The fingerprint verification is successful, but the door still won't open. What's wrong?
If installed correctly, you should press down the handle immediately after verification to open the door. If it still doesn't open, please contact your dealer or the manufacturer. -
Can I still use my fingerprint to unlock the door if my finger is injured?
Serious injuries may prevent recognition. It is recommended to register multiple fingerprints for different fingers during initial setup. -
Can the fingerprint imprint left on the sensor be copied to unlock the door?
No. The lock uses live fingerprint detection technology, so even a copied fingerprint cannot unlock it. -
How do I add or delete a fingerprint?
Fingerprints can be added by pressing the setup button or via the App. However, deletion must be done through the App. -
What can I do if the fingerprint recognition is occasionally unsuccessful or insensitive?
1. Clean your finger and the fingerprint sensor. 2. Ensure your finger is placed correctly on the sensor and try multiple times. 3. It is recommended to register the same fingerprint at different angles or register multiple fingerprints for different fingers during setup. -
Is the fingerprint sensor waterproof/fog-proof?
The BS lock has an IP65 waterproof rating. However, to ensure sensitive reading, please keep your fingers and the fingerprint sensor dry when using it. -
